Jesus is...

Written by: Mother Teresa

“Who is Jesus to me?
Jesus is the Word made flesh.
Jesus is the Bread of Life.
Jesus is the Victim offered for our sins on the cross.
Jesus is the sacrifice offered for the sins of the world and for mine.
Jesus is the Word to be spoken.
Jesus is the way to be walked.
Jesus is the light to be lit.
Jesus is the life to be lived.
Jesus is the love to be loved.
Jesus is the joy to be shared.
Jesus is the peace to be given.
Jesus is the hungry to be fed.
Jesus is the thirsty to be satiated.
Jesus is the naked to be clothed.
Jesus is the homeless to be taken in.
Jesus is the sick to be healed.
Jesus is the lonely to be loved.
Jesus is the unwanted to be wanted.
Jesus is the leper to wash His wounds.
Jesus is the beggar to give Him a smile.
Jesus is the drunkard to listen to Him.
Jesus is the mentally ill to protect Him.
Jesus is The little one to embrace Him.
Jesus is the blind to lead Him.
Jesus is the dumb to speak for Him.
Jesus is the crippled to walk with Him.
Jesus is the drug addict to befriend Him.
Jesus is the prostitute to remove from danger and befriend Her.
Jesus is the prisoner to be visited.
Jesus is the old to be served.

To me: Jesus is my God.
Jesus is my spouse.
Jesus is my life.
Jesus is my only love.
Jesus is my all in all.
Jesus is my every thing…..”

walking in true humility and love...

The daily prayer of the Co-workers of Mother Teresa
“Make us worthy, Lord, to serve our fellow men throughout the world who live and die in poverty and hunger.
Give them, through our hands, this day their daily bread, and by our understanding Love, give Peace and Joy.
Lord, make me a channel of Thy Peace, that where there is hatred, I may bring Love; that where there is wrong, I may bring the Spirit of Forgiveness; that where there is discord, I may bring Harmony; that where there is error. I may bring Truth; that where there is doubt, I may bring Faith; that where there is despair, I may bring Hope; that where there are shadows, I may bring Light; that where there is sadness, I may bring Joy.
Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort, than to be comforted, to understand, than to be understood, to love, than to be loved, for it is by forgetting self that one finds, it is by forgiving that one is forgiven, it is by dying that on awakens to eternal life. “

..I want to walk in true humility and love like this...Jesus walked like this.... It is so easy to find myself wrapped up in the worries and cares of the society in which we live in. This Humanistic spirit that creeps in and tells us "its all about me..." .... its all about what I have or what I don’t have...How I am perceived by other people, how I look, my accomplishments, ME Me ME Me…. GROSS!
.... As Christians we NEED to rise up in the OPPOSITE spirit of humanism... which I believe, is HUMILITY...
...Many times Christians wonder why they are walking around with a feeling of unfufillment...I believe that this unfulfillment needs to be a wake up call that we are allowing this ugly and selfish humanistic spirit whisper in our ear for way to long. LORD MAKE ME A CHANNEL OF YOUR PEACE…. MAY I BRING LOVE TO OTHERS….MAY I BRING PEACE, JOY, FAITH, HOPE AND YOUR LIGHT into the lives of others…. Jesus said…that WE ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD…. (Matthew 5:14) … I have been challenged today to walk in true humility…. to walk in love…
